An Interactive Drama Experience: A Piper Named Pete

LENGTH: 1 hour and 15 minutes

A fun interactive drama for all ages!

This is a story where the audience gets to act up in this inter-active reader’s theater style drama. I provide the scripts, costume & props, the drama instruction and direction. You provide the victi – I mean, volunteers and space.

Princess Henrietta has just been kidnapped by an ogre. No one in the kingdom is able (or willing) to go into the deep, dark, foreboding forest and rescue her. No one, that is, except for a pip-squeak of a fellow by the name of Pete the Piper. He is willing to risk life and limb because he knows it’s the right thing to do.

As Pete ventures into the depths of the forest he runs across numerous characters who are in need of rescuing themselves. Pete discovers they are held in a mysterious grip and the ogre is the only one who knows the secret to their release.

THEME: CHARACTER, MAKING GOOD CHOICES, COURAGE, DEPENDABILITY, A GOOD REPUTATION, SELFISHNESS VS SELFLESSNESS

Testimonies

“Deanna did such a great job at keeping the children engaged for a long period of time. The kids were excited and eager to participate, which we don’t see very often. The kids had a lot of fun and were talking about it afterwards. We look forward to the possibility of having you back next year!”  Kaitlyn Groenenboom, Program Assistant, It’s a BLAST Program, Lethbridge, AB

“I loved how everyone was enjoying it, were engaged and entertained. It was also funny to see how the kids interacted and participated so well. Thanks!”         Kimi Orton, Children’s Ministry, First Baptist Church, Prince George, BC

“Lots of humor, especially in the picking of parts and then in the acting out of their parts. Hilarious! It was a great way to end our camp. I would recommend you to anyone!”  Pastor Barb Roycroft, Camp Coordinator, Island Lake Family Camp, Crowsnest Pass, AB
