Impossible Faith? The Story of Corrie ten Boom

LENGTH: 45 mins (Performed since 2007)

A Christian drama about having faith in difficult times

Having faith in difficult times is no easy thing. A powerful example of this is Corrie ten Boom. While the enemy of our souls uses difficulties and trials to try to derail our faith in God, our Heavenly Father uses them to deepen our faith, grow our character and mature our hope. I have found that knowing God’s Word is crucial to persevering in our faith and Corrie’s story is proof of that.

My drama Impossible Faith? is based on the true story of Corrie, a courageous Christian Dutch woman. She, along with her sister, Betsie, find themselves imprisoned in Ravensbruck, one of Hitler’s death camps during WWII, for helping to rescue Jews.

Corrie struggles as she watches her sister waste away because of the hatred and cruelty of others. It would be easy to give in to the bitterness and unforgiveness that constantly preys on her heart.

But Jesus reveals He is with them in many different and sometimes miraculous ways. A life line to Corrie, her sister and many others, is a little Bible they were able to smuggle in. It becomes their hope and a source of strength. Corrie discovers for herself that no pit is so deep that Christ is not deeper still. For thirty years following Ravensbruck, the Lord uses Corrie to travel to over 60 countries with this message of hope and forgiveness.

NOTE: This drama is followed by a 1 1/2 minute DVD of Corrie sharing her testimony at 80 years of age (used with permission from the Billy Graham Evangelical Association)
