Meet Deanna
My name is Deanna Storfie and I live in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada. I have been acting up for my Savior, Jesus Christ, for most of my life!
When I was eighteen I left home to travel for a few years with a Christian repertoire theatre company based in Los Angeles called Covenant Players. This is where I learned my acting craft and how powerful drama can be in communicating the gospel of Jesus.
I then settled in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada where I got plugged into a strong Bible-based church that helped to disciple me. I continued developing my dramatic gifts within that church while getting married and starting a family.
In 2003, as I homeschooled my daughters, I came across the stories of some ordinary people whom the Lord chose to use in some extraordinary ways. I began using my gifts, abilities and talents to research, write, and bring their stories to life for others.
There wasn't anything unusual about them other than the fact that they loved Jesus because He first loved them. However, they were willing to step out of the comfortable and into the uncomfortable purposes of God.
None of them felt equipped. It was God who saw to it that they were equipped and empowered to do what He was asking them to do.
Heading 6
"Think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong." 1 Corinthians 1:27
Their stories inspired me and my life has never been the same...,

My Faith Statement
God
I believe there is one true God who exists in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit (Gen 1). He is eternal, holy, unchanging, just, omniscient, omnipresent, and Sovereign over all His creation (Isa 42:5), which He created in six literal days. God created mankind (male and female) so we could be His image bearers (Gen 1:26), but Adam and Eve chose to disobey God in the garden (Gen 3). As a result, sin and death entered the hearts of mankind, separating us from the very One who had so lovingly created us.
God the Father
Yet, He is God the Father: personal, full of compassion, slow to anger and quick to forgive (Ps 145:8). God had a plan to redeem mankind and rescue His beloved creation; a plan He would slowly reveal throughout the Old Testament Scriptures (Is 61:1-3, Ps 16:8-11, Je 33:14 & 15) and make plain throughout the New Testament (John 3:16&17). However, this plan would cost Him dearly.
God the Son
Jesus is God and was with God in the beginning (John 1:1&2), creating everything. He took on human form, being truly God and truly man, by being conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin, so He could live among His creation (Isa9:6, Luke 1:26-3). Jesus came to reveal God the Father’s plan of redemption. He was completely sinless and submitted to His Father’s will (Heb 10:7). Jesus healed the sick , the blind, paralyzed, lepers and even the demon possessed. He showed compassion to the poor, preached the good news of His Father's kingdom, and challenged the religious leaders.
Then, He was handed over to men by God’s set purpose and foreknowledge (Acts 2:23), to take the punishment for our sin (John 3:16), and reconcile us to God. He did this by painfully suffering and dying on a Roman cross (Luke 23) and taking our sin upon Him. (In other words, God died for us). Jesus was buried in a tomb, but after three days God raised Him from the dead (Luke 24), for it was impossible for death to keep its hold on Him (John 2:19, John 11:25). Over a period of forty days (Acts 1:3), Jesus appeared to His disciples and others, proving He was alive (Luke 24:36) and teaching about His Father’s kingdom.
God the Holy Spirit
Jesus told His followers to wait for the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:4-8) who would help them to be His witnesses. Then Jesus ascended to His Father (Acts 1:9). As promised, God did not leave those who believe in His Son as orphans (John 14:16- 18), but sent the Holy Spirit, whose purpose is to convict the world of sin (John 16:8), reveal Jesus and begin the process of inner transformation (John 16:13) in all who believe.
It is through this same Holy Spirit, at work in believers, that helps us to become salt and light in our world. For all those who believe in and receive Jesus, He gives us the right to become children of God, born of God and not merely of human decision or will (John 1:12-13). That same Holy Spirit enables us to tell others about the wonderful gift of God’s grace through Jesus and that believing in Him is the only way to escape the just punishment for our sin that is to come (John 3:16-18).
The Word of God
The Bible is God’s inspired Word (2 Tim 3:16-17) to us, with many different authors and written over many centuries, yet with a common theme. From Genesis right through to Revelation the Bible reveals God’s plan for redeeming and reconciling mankind through His Son, Jesus. Jesus is God’s Word in physical form (John 1:1&2), revealing the Father to His creation. Because of this, Scripture is a standard of truth that everything should be compared to and that we, as believers in Jesus, are to live our lives by (Mat 5:17&18).
The Bible also explains that because of Jesus Christ we no longer need to fear death because Jesus is the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in Him will never die but have eternal life (John 11:25). Salvation cannot be earned but is a gift to us from God for all those who trust in Jesus (Eph 2;8-9, Rom 5:1&6-10, 1 Cor 5:21)
Jesus is now sitting at the right hand of His Father (Matt 26:64) and will return for His church, which He compares to a bride (Rev 19:7), to fulfill everything spoken about Him by the prophets (Isa 25:6-9, Dan 12:1-13).
Because of this, all my dramas, workshops, and instruction reflect the transformative power and truths of God's Word while expressing our need to surrender our lives to the Father's will, believe in Jesus Christ, and be led by the Holy Spirit.
